First, a little adoption news: we got the email from Great Wall telling us that China officially accepted our documents on April 14, which becomes our official Docs to China date. Our referral date will be more or less 6 months after DTC, and travel will be 6-8 weeks after that.
As with most adopting families, we wish it could have been earlier, as this now puts our estimated travel date later into December, but everything can change for better or worse without notice.
The even bigger news this week is that Monica has decided to fly to China this summer and meet Lisa at the end of her volunteer trip to Henan. Monica will arrive at the Hope Foster Home just as Lisa is finishing up, work for a week, and then the two of them will travel around for a week getting nutty and wreaking havoc together. Lisa is loving this idea for two reasons: she's going to be lonely as all hell by that point, and traveling in a foreign country is always easier with a pal.
The funniest part is that Monica will get to stay in a yurt. Oh, and I just realized that I may get to babysit Lucy for two weeks.
