All in all, The Girl had a perfect birthday weekend. She specifically asked not to have a big party, and we obliged.Instead, she got a sleepover with one best friend, an afternoon playdate with another, and a Sunday morning playdate with yet another.
Then on the day itself, she went to Grandmudder's house for the cake and ice cream she'd been dreaming of ever since the last birthday party she went to. In between all of it, she couldn't have been sweeter to Lisa and me, which pretty much fulfilled our birthday wishes in the process.

Kiki and Popo both talked about Sophie ALL DAY on Sunday, and when we went to the park Monday afternoon they kept saying Sophie was going to meet them there... What a trio.
