Girls, Girls, Girls

We were recently asked to predict the gender of our friends Nicia and Aaron's as-yet unborn baby. Based on my feeble grasp of gender statistics, I guessed girl because I thought that was more common. It's not, but I was right about them having a girl anyway.

Pearl (left) is the newest female addition to our non-Guilford set of friends, following Louisa and Sophie but proceeding baby Cartee.

A few weeks earlier, Anna and Judy gave birth to a girl, known forever as "Swordhook" thanks to her brother.

I admit I'm now a fan, thanks mostly to the peanut butter monster at the right. It's going to be fun raising a tough, athletic, smart, creative little Gamma Girl.

Speaking of, our college friend Eric simply doesn't deserve his good luck. A couple weekends ago, he came to visit the Charlotte crowd along with his fiance Genevieve, who was brave enough to face this group of idiots and loud buffoons. Needless to say, she charmed us far more than he ever did, which is why we've decided to keep her and kick him out.
