Will the real Slim Sophie please stand up?

And then take a bunch of steps forward?

It's official -- the girl is a walker. At the beach last week, she had mastered the stand-up. Not too much later she combined it with anywhere from 2 to 20 steps. This weekend, she put the two together and then wrapped up the show with a hard bump on the butt. Photographic evidence follows:

It's amazing to think about how much a child learns going from immobile to a crawler to upright walking, and yet it can all happen in just a few months, as it did for Sophie. When we brought her home in late February, she couldn't even crawl, but she raced through those milestones like they were a Survivor challenge with chocolate cake waiting at the end.

Sophie is fantastic! Josie must have been jealous, because she started walking a day later! Now, if only we could get her some hair...! We love watching Sophie grow!

Ah, the pictures of Sophie are even better now that I've met her. So great to see you three!
