Time to pack up Lisa and the baby and ship them off to anywhere. It took Valve 18 months, but they finally got around to releasing the next episode of "Half Life 2," which consumed two weeks of my life around Christmas 2004.I'd say I've got another two solid weeks of work ahead of me, but it's important that there be no distractions. So starting June 1, I'll not just be turning off all phones, I'll be dropping them in concrete. I'm also spray-painting the windows black, shutting down all email accounts, and giving the dog away to the first interested family.
