A Fed Ex packet of love and papers

More more more information came to us today about darling Si Tian/Poppy/Sophie/Miriam/Lisa Jr. In addition to things we already knew (she likes cookies), it turns out she's restless and active with quick reactions. Not that there was any real time or care put into this assessment -- it's just a bunch of checkboxes on a large form full of generic descriptions. For instance:

Rolls from supine position to prone position by herself? Check.
Picks up small things like beans with her fingers? No dice.
Looks for a dropped toy? You bet.
Takes off sock by herself? Nuh uh.

And now like a good failed journalist, I'm burying the lead of this blog entry: We know what her Chinese name means.

Surname
Pronounced: chong (go ahead -- try clicking it)
Meaning: high, dignified, lofty, to honor

First Name
Pronounced: si
Meaning: to think, to consider

Middle Name
Pronounced: tian
Meaning: sweet

So, it looks like she's "considered sweet" with a splash of lofty dignification. Of course, we didn't need a piece of paper to tell us that.

Yeah, well, so much for having a baby who takes after my heart and enjoys sourkraut and tofu. Guess she'll be a mama's girl.
