As Homer says, "The waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos."
Sadly, we have no choice but to play the waiting game (the adoption one, that is). Word could come any day from our adoption agency, and that word could either be that our baby is waiting for us or that we have to wait another month. Lisa and I are handling the wait fairly well, but tense would be a fair way to describe some of the other people in our group.
"Crossing my fingers," writes one woman. "And toes... and legs... and eyes! I hope hope hope today is the day for some info... it is getting harder and harder!"
"I seriously need an intervention as I keep checking e-mail every few minutes," writes another. "I just need to hear something from Great Wall today. I think I need some of those ativan now!!!"
I'm just working along, enjoying a decent little raise and promotion, and thinking about all the guy-stuff I can buy for Poppy.
