Disney's "The Pacifier," aimed at mostly female and family audiences, drew a better-than-expected $30.2 million for the March 4-6 weekend with Diesel's rendition of a tough guy thrown into an unfamiliar role, box office tracker Exhibitor Relations said on Sunday. Vin Diesel stars as a Navy SEAL assigned to protect five children from enemies of their recently deceased father.

in other news, vin diesel will go on to star in sequels of: Fried Green Tomatoes, Bridges of Madison County, and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood as he's obviously found his niche market. bleh.
His best character was in Pitch Black, and only b/c he had all of 3 lines; it still managed to be a good flick.
Go watch The Chronicles of Riddick.
Vin Diesel is a moron, but so is Arnold and every other action star ever. And they all make at least one dumb-ass kids movie to "soften" their image.
The only good movie Diesel was in was "Boiler Room" -- since then it's been a long string of dreck. Including, yes, "Chronicles of Riddickulous."
